About Nikola Tesla Network
The "Nikola Tesla Network" is an international cultural and touristic route that follows the life and work of Nikola Tesla, one of the greatest Croatian, European and world scientists and inventors.
The route begins in Tesla's native Smiljan, Croatia, and connects the places and countries where this world-renowned genius acted and left a mark.
The route along Smiljan also includes Gospic and Karlovac as places of Tesla's primary education, Zagreb as the city where Tesla offered electrification, Skradin which houses the first European hydroelectric power plant,

Nikola Tesla on F.RE.E
A sculpture of Nikola Tesla, one of the most known Croats in the world, was set up as a part of the Croatian exhibit at the largest Bavarian tourism fair F.RE..E held in Munich. This year, Croatia was also the partner country of the fair.

80 years since Nikola Tesla died
Today marks 80 years since Nikola Tesla died on January 7th, 1943. But his work and his heritage still live on. The Nikola Tesla Network association is commemorating this day and is continuing to work on promoting Nikola Tesla's life, his legacy, and his everlasting inspiration.
The first electrified city in the world
On the 16th November 1896., Buffalo became the first electrified city in the world, thanks to Nikola Tesla who built the first hydro -electric power-plant in Niagara Falls thus starting the electrification of the world.
