Goals and actions

  • The Nikola Tesla Network wants to demonstrate that there is no single reading of what Nikola Tesla was but that the multiplicity of readings and approaches related to what he represents as a scientist whose creations are still everywhere around us enriches the understanding of the evolution of the industrial world as much as our daily life.
  • Promoting such a heritage means valuing a physical heritage (such as Niagara Falls in the United States or in Krka National Park in Croatia for example) but also whole sections of immaterial culture, which still nourishes and inspires today and especially in literature and cinema all the colours of the genius myth, daunting at times, of Nikola Tesla.
  • "The Nikola Tesla Network" is, above all, an invitation to a cultural, playful and scientific discovery of the work and the myth of Nikola Tesla.
  • The ambition is to travel the European continent, in the footsteps of the character, from East to West. To achieve this goal, the project is built around the network of the association but also with the support of the Croatian national institutions (the ministries) and finally by relay organizations abroad (associations, universities, institutions, including the network of embassies).
  • We must therefore take into account both the historical truth and respond to the diversity of expectations, practices and contexts by country and within each territory.
  • It is a matter of giving consistency to the different aspects of a myth that is still strongly present but too little known, in the everyday life of the populations of Europe and the world
